Description:
An easy to grow fern, native from Northern California into the Northwest. Unlike most ferns, it produces 2 types of fronds - the sterile fronds spread gracefully, while the spore-bearing fronds are almost vertical. This gives the plant a unique appearance. Stunning colonies of this fern can be seen near Berry Creek Falls in Big Basin State Park in Santa Cruz County.
