Lupinus chamissonis Common Name: Beach Lupine Size: 4'h x 4'w Sun: sun H20: occ.H2O/dry The beautiful silver leaves of this lupine are the perfect backdrop for the violet blue flowers. This shrub grows in the coastal strand and dunes of the central and south coast. This plant would appreciate a dry, sunny situation. If planted inland, occasional summer water may be needed. This is a great shrub for beaches and sand dunes. Reaches 4 by 4 feet; looks best if given a hard pruning each winter as new growth begins.
