Description:
The tree coreopsis, Coreopsis gigantea, produces its leaves on a stem which grows into a trunk from six to eight feet tall. It is prone to rot in cold, wet winters and is frost tender. Native to the Channel Islands, it wants full sun and dry conditions. It puts on a show of yellow flowers in late winter and early spring and sports delicate ferny leaves.
