Description:
Introduced many years ago, the origin if this lily is uncertain. It is thought to either be a hybrid or a wild lily from the Van Duzen River. It is known for its vigor and ease of cultivation. It's height can be 5-6' with as many as 15 bright red flowers on each stem. In the right location a single bulb can become a group of 40 or 50 in 5 years. In your garden give it a moist, rich, well drained soil, and sun to part shade.
