Description:
A slender, fast growing tree to 40', rarely as tall as 80'. Native to rocky slopes and ridges, there are scattered populations from the S. Oregon Coast Ranges to Monterey Co. and north of Mariposa Co. in the Sierra. Somewhat variable with yellow-green needles and spreading branches. The crown is usually conical, sometimes rounded with age. The overall effect is an open appearance. Very drought tolerant, very hardy and recommended for gardens from Puget Sound to Baja California.
