Description:
This bold penstemon from the desert slopes of Southern California makes an attractive addition to the perennial border with its 3 1/2 foot spikes of bright pink flowers which appear from March to July. Spreads to form a low, evergreen patch. Fairly clay and water tolerant; also takes drought quite well. As with all perennials, the spent flowering stalks should be cut back to promote new growth.
