Description:
An interesting deciduous shrub, growing up to 8'. It has hairy leaves, which are rather strongly scented when crushed, and will provide nice fall color. The bright red-orange fruit is quite ornamental. Flowers are yellowish-green and appear before the leaves in spring. Tolerates heavy soils, low water, and full to filtered sun. The Squawbush is found on slopes and scrubland from S.Canada to N.Mexico. A good soil stabilizer.
