Description:
This oak is closely related to the Interior Live Oak (Q. wislizenii). Large, evergreen with variable leaves, smooth edged or toothed. It is native to the coastal areas of California. It has also been linked with the Island Scrub Oak of Santa Cruz Island. Our oak here has a distinctive columnar form. As with all native oaks, it requires no summer water.
