Description:
This species is native to coastal Monterey County where it grows on sea coast bluffs. 'Carmel Sur' is an attractive selection with dense, dark green leaves and fine light pink flowers. It is a fast grower. The Little Sur Manzanita is more tolerant of sun than most Uva-Ursi types and should be used when a low growing manzanita is desired for a hot sunny situation.`
